My work serves as visual affirmations. They developed from a space of seeking to see myself within a constant frame of love. The outline of my pieces are consistent: a pyramid at the top that comes into a nose. This is in direct response to the missing noses on ancient Egyptian monuments. My nose is connected to the people that created the pyramids, I am continuously dealing with the truth of this connection. The choice to see, to not overlook, to not ignore, is the core of my aesthetic. The pieces are only activated through the viewer; their visibility completes each piece. The different geometric line patterns detailed in each work, explore the feelings I was confronting a those moments I was in front of the mirrors. We are all only able to see ourselves when we confront the mirror.
